Editing Portfolio & Praise

I knew nothing about writing books; I just knew I had a story I wanted to tell. Laura asked me questions along the way that made me think about what I had written: could it be better, was it necessary, could I describe the scene around my words? 

She made all the difference for my story and for me. I've thought many times about what a mistake it would've been to write my book without her.
